Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 6,   Pages 1474-1494 doi: 10.1007/s11709-019-0572-0

Abstract: The paper presents numerical findings of reinforced concrete interior beam-column joints under monotonicThe emphasis was put on studying the effects of hoop reinforcement ratio in joint core and the axialshear force and thus to increase the shear capacity, prevent the outward buckling of steel bars in column, but also to increase the yield load, decrease the yield displacement of beam and improve the jointHowever, excessive horizontal stirrups contribute little to the joint performance.
